I don’t mind rejection too much, honestly. Yes, it can be dispiriting having hopes and dreams dashed against the rocks at regular intervals, but as an artist you somewhat know what you’re signing up for there. What is more difficult, I think anyway, is the not knowing. The radio silence that so often comes with putting yourself out there.
