The day my twitter ban was lifted is the day that Elon Musk took over the platform. I was banned for 7 days because I said that I hoped that everyone attending the LGB Alliance Conference this year dies in an earthquake. Silly really, considering that not that many earthquakes happen in central London, but still - I stand by the sentiment. I’m not bitter about getting banned though - maybe I should have been? This whole Elon thing is pathetic as hell, loads of incel dweebs now excited that they can get away with shit-posting the n-word all over the platform. I used to quite like Twitter, but lately (and I mean even before all this Elon Musk stuff) the platform somehow feels even more toxic somehow. I notice that it pumps out transphobic and racist accounts / stories to me on the regular, no matter how many times I click ‘I’m not interested in this’. It’s almost as if it’s trying to make me feel bad.
