I got my Monzo card stolen today. I’m not sure if it was lifted out of my pocket, or if I dropped it on the floor - but while I was in the pharmacy picking up some medication, I got a notification on my phone telling me that £60 had just been spent in a local newsagents. My first thought was “how did I manage to get to a newsagents while I’ve been also standing here waiting for my pills?” I guess because when something even mildly distressing happens to me, all logic and rationality instantly leaves my mind.
