Being off of Twitter has been a fucking revelation. I have taken breaks before, but this one feels different somehow. Probably because the platform has gotten so toxic and generally bad over the past couple of years. I suppose my reasoning for taking that break is also slightly different from breaks I’ve had in the past. I think the last time I left for a bit, it was because I was being bombarded with replies and DMs calling me a woman hating groomer (because I disrupted the LGB Alliance conference). This time though, it’s more out of exasperated boredom. The joy is gone. I’m contemplating leaving for good.
