Happy Halloween! It’s the spookiest day of the year, and I hope whatever you’re doing (or not doing) you have fun. I know some people don’t celebrate it - when I was a kid we would trick or treat up and down the road, and there would always be those houses where the inhabitants would pretend they weren’t in. Then there were the ones who could open the door, but inform you that they were Christians and didn’t believe in it. We wouldn’t “trick” these people, because having a religious reason for not joining in felt different, like they were conscientious objectors. In all honesty, we didn’t really do much tricking at all, even if we were denied treats.
