Be More Poppy - 12/11/24

We finished shooting on the first day of my short film ‘Auger’ last week. There’s just one full filming day left to go, then a whole heap of editing. I’ve had a look through the rushes and synced the sound up, and I’m excited to get started because it’s looking nice. I love this feeling, when a day’s worth of footage is ‘in the can’ (on a memory card / hard drive) just sitting there, unassuming, waiting to be cut into pieces. The potential is all there. That being said, I do personally hate the physical act of editing. If I ever work on anything bigger, I’ll find someone else to edit it, and I’ll just look over their shoulder while they do it.
