This morning I had a nice, leisurely, very uphill walk to my venue - Gilded Balloon, Patter Hoose. I met Martin outside and we made our way in the run through some tech for the show. The room is a black box style, 40 seater - and it couldn’t be better for what I am doing (eg. Causing mischief, baby).
Edinburgh is a sexy town. Everywhere you go, there’s some sort of sexy old building, or sexy chip shop, or sexy bagpiper, piping away for a crowd of American tourists. It’s busy, but so far - apart from all the posters, it doesn’t feel like the fringe has properly “started” yet. I guess that’s because it literally hasn’t. For example, I’ve not been handed one flyer yet by a barely adult A Capella group.
