Harry Styles and Andrew Garfield Confirmed To Play Gay Penguin Couple ‘Roy’ & ‘Silo’ In Upcoming Biopic
The Long Awaited Film Finally Has It's Leads
It was announced today by Searchlight Pictures that the two leads for their much anticipated biopic on the lives (and loves) of New York Zoo’s gay penguins Roy & Silo have been found!
Roy will be played by Andrew Garfield, and Silo by Harry Styles respectively. A representative at Searchlight is quoted as saying: ‘We’re thrilled to have the boys on board’.
The film has been in production hell for the last ten years, and previously had James Cameron attached to direct - however he left the project last year due to creative differences. When asked for comment, Cameron stated: ‘...the technology just isn’t there yet. We’d need at least another 15 years to pull this sort of thing off. We’re not ready.’
Luckily for us, the film now has a new director on board - Inception’s Christopher Nolan - who has assured us the dialogue will be completely incomprehensible, as is his regular style. Nolan told us: ‘...the thing is, humans can’t actually understand penguins speech, so I don’t want to do anything unrealistic. That’s not really my style. Also, I don’t feel like paying out more for a sound editor’.
The film is said to be titled ‘Brokeback Penguin’ however, this may just be a working title.
We’re super excited for this LGBT story about love overcoming all odds, and can’t think of two better actors to spread gay representation than Styles & Garfield.
Just make sure you bring your tissues along to the cinema, because something tells us this one is going to be a real jerker!
